How an Uzbekistan Electronics Factory Prepared Motherboard and SSD Production with I.C.T Support

Two Products, Two Production Routes The main difficulty was that computer motherboards and SSD products could not share one feeder setup at the same time. The two products required different material preparation, different feeder confirmation, and different production programs. I.C.T helped the customer define a switching plan: complete motherboard production first, then switch the line for SSD production. A similar need for structured line start-up can be seen in this SMT production line installation and training case. This planning was important for the visitor schedule. The customer wanted to show both product categories, but trying to prepare both at the same moment would increase the chance of material confusion and feeder errors. By separating the production sequence, the line could be presented more clearly and with fewer interruptions. An Uzbekistan electronics manufacturer was preparing its factory for an important production visit. Government guests and a local TV station were scheduled to observe the factory, and the customer wanted to demonstrate both computer motherboard and SSD production on site.

This made the project different from a normal installation service. The work was not only to make machines run. I.C.T had to help the customer prepare two product routes, organize materials, build production programs, verify SSD testing, train local engineers, and make the production demonstration reliable enough for visitors to watch and record.

Case Focus: preparing motherboard and SSD production for a real factory visit, including feeder switching, SSD test preparation, SMT program debugging, and operator training.

Why This Project Was Time-Sensitive

The customer operated SMT and DIP production lines for electronic products such as computer motherboards and SSDs. During the service period, the customer planned to invite visitors to the factory to view and film production. That meant the production line needed to do more than pass an internal equipment check. It had to show a clear, stable, and understandable manufacturing process.

For a factory visit, uncertainty becomes a real risk. If materials are not prepared, feeders are mismatched, a placement program is incomplete, or an SSD test flow cannot run, the production demonstration may stop in front of visitors. I.C.T therefore treated the project as a production readiness task with a public demonstration deadline.

For factories with similar requirements, stable board handling starts from an automatic PCB magazine loader and unloader, then continues through printing, inspection, placement, reflow, AOI, and final testing. The production line should be prepared together with product data, feeders, inspection files, operator steps, and final test flow instead of being viewed only as a group of machines.

Two Products, Two Production Routes

The main difficulty was that computer motherboards and SSD products could not share one feeder setup at the same time.

What Had To Be Prepared Before Switching

  • BOM and physical material sorting for SSD production
  • Feeder matching and missing feeder confirmation
  • Placement program preparation for SSD products
  • SPI and AOI program creation and debugging
  • Motherboard production verification before product changeover
  • Training for local engineers on file preparation and line change steps

How I.C.T Prepared SSD Production

SSD production required more than a placement file. The team needed to confirm the BOM, coordinate data, actual materials, feeder configuration, placement program, SPI program, AOI program, and board-test process. Some SSD materials and feeder information needed further supplementation, so I.C.T reorganized the materials and helped the customer match them to the correct feeders.

The SSD placement program, BGA component library, and component parameters were optimized. During trial production, the team handled material alarms and component throwing issues, then adjusted the program and process to reduce unstable production behavior. In this type of SSD process, an SMT automatic stencil printing machine and a high-speed solder paste inspection system are key checkpoints before placement.

The SSD test process also required coordination. I.C.T supported the customer’s communication with the test-equipment supplier and helped complete boot testing, computer installation recognition, and an SSD BIT test that ran continuously for four hours. This mattered because an SSD production demo is not convincing if the product can be placed but cannot be recognized or tested afterward.

How The Motherboard Demonstration Was Prepared

For computer motherboard production, the goal was to complete a stable demonstration and a target production run. I.C.T helped the customer prepare the production line, organize the production sequence, and support the local team during line operation. Where the production requires flexible placement capacity, a Hanwha SMT pick and place machine can support the component mounting stage for motherboard and SSD assembly.

Because the factory also included DIP production capability, product preparation could not stop at SMT placement alone. Motherboard and SSD production both required attention to material flow, testing, operator steps, and production records. For soldering control after placement, an SMT nitrogen reflow oven can be considered as part of the wider PCBA production process.

Local Engineer Training

I.C.T trained the customer’s local engineer on printer line-change points, SPI file acquisition, XY coordinate sorting, and program format conversion. This was important because the customer needed internal capability after the visit, not only a one-time production display.

The team also handled practical equipment items, including printer cleaning pump replacement and testing. These small maintenance items are often invisible in a sales brochure, but they matter during a real production demonstration.

What Was Verified On Site

The first placement trial board passed testing, and the product placement direction was confirmed as correct. The SSD SPI program test was normal, and the AOI SSD program was completed with normal inspection results. The printer cleaning pump replacement was completed, and the printer test was normal. For visual inspection after placement and soldering, an online AOI inspection machine helps factories verify assembly quality before the next process.

The SSD product completed multiple rounds of board testing and computer installation testing. During the test process, the computer recognized the SSD normally, and the BIT test ran continuously for four hours with normal results. A manual depaneling test of 10 pieces was also completed and confirmed as OK.

The production record included SSD batches of about 30 and 40 units, board-test batches of 9 PCS and 15 PCS, another completed batch of 19 PCS for board testing, and a target production run of 100 computer motherboard sets. On site, two placement machines were used to simulate production of both product types, meeting the customer’s demonstration needs.

For another example of cross-process production preparation, this automotive electronics SMT production line case shows how product data, process setup, and production readiness connect in a real factory environment.

Customer Feedback After Successful SMT & DIP Line Deployment

After completing the SMT and DIP production line setup, the Uzbekistan customer shared their experience with I.C.T’s equipment, technical support, and project cooperation.

The feedback video provides a real view of the customer’s experience during the project and demonstrates the value of professional technical support beyond equipment delivery.

Conclusion

This Uzbekistan case is best understood as a production demonstration readiness project. The customer needed to show computer motherboard and SSD manufacturing within a limited schedule, while also preparing the real production foundation behind that demonstration.

I.C.T helped organize product switching, SSD materials, feeder planning, placement programs, SPI and AOI programs, test flow, equipment maintenance, and local engineer training. The result was not only a smoother factory visit, but also a clearer path for future motherboard and SSD production.
